Chapter 128: Yoga Training! Gwen’s Sword Strikes Down the Deviants!
The next day—
No, not really.
Less than an hour had passed, but on the yacht, they had gone from night to dawn in reverse. By the time the yacht fully caught up with the sun, they were already on the other side of the globe.
Here, it was morning.
When Lorien realized this, he stopped pressing forward and staggered back a few steps.
"Cough, cough, cough—!"
Hela, held upside down in Bella’s arms, burst into a fit of coughing.
Lorien waved his hand.
"Let her go."
At his command, Bella released her.
With a thud, Hela collapsed onto the floor, perfectly embodying the phrase "biting off more than you can chew." Every space in her body that could hold something, Lorien had already filled.
Satisfied now?
"Alright, go back and digest it yourself."
He raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
Snap—
The next moment, Hela disappeared along with all the "contraband." She returned to the northern building to digest it slowly on her own.
Now, she had more than enough divine power stored. She had said before that all of Lorien’s "cargo" contained divine energy—well, digesting divine energy naturally took time.
Without Hela, it would digest quickly but replenish slowly. With Hela, it digested slowly but restored quickly. So more was better.
If this happened again in the future, one place wouldn’t be enough. She would need two places constantly filled. When the time was right, he’d try filling all three. That way, he could maximize how much contraband she carried.
From what Lorien had heard, the capacity could get pretty high.
He turned to Bella.
"What’s the limit a normal person can carry?"
Bella quickly analyzed.
"For a normal person, about 200–400cc. With practice, around 800–1000cc. The maximum is 2000cc."
"And Hela?"
"Miss Hela’s estimated maximum is 1500cc."
"Then let’s set that as the goal."
After all, Hela had divine power. Physically, she wasn’t any weaker than Gwen. Of course, not as strong as Gwen in her Symbiote battle suit, but in her normal state, she was still far superior.
...
When Bella noticed the marks on Lorien’s weapon, she crouched down in front of him and carefully cleaned it with a few strokes.
Hiss... Forget it.
Lorien snapped his fingers.
Snap—
In an instant, the entire place was spotless. Clothes, floor, everything looked immaculate.
He took Bella back to the railing. Nearby, Wanda and Gwen were finishing their final exercises, with Aria helping them stretch.
Yoga was built on stretching. If your ligaments lacked flexibility and your muscles weren’t elastic, you’d never perform yoga well. Ballet was even more demanding, practically torture without a flexible body. That was why every yoga session ended with stretching.
Before long, the last stretches were done.
"Miss Gwen, Miss Wanda, the basic yoga course is finished. You may rest now."
Aria informed them gently.
"Yay! We’re done!"
Gwen bounced up happily as if nothing had happened.
Wanda, however, held her hips, slowly drawing back her two long, plump legs with a frown.
"So sore... it hurts."
"What? It hurts?" Gwen hopped on the spot. "I thought the warm-up felt pretty good."
Wanda wanted to cry hearing that.
"Miss Gwen’s physical condition is excellent. Perhaps Bella can already teach you advanced yoga," Aria suggested.
"Really?" Gwen lit up, but after glancing at Wanda, she shook her head. "Forget it. I’ll stick with Wanda. Otherwise, it won’t be fun."
"Hss..." Wanda lowered her legs and smiled at Gwen. "You don’t have to wait for me."
"It’s fine," Gwen said lightly. "The other poses don’t look hard. I think I could do them all right now."
From upstairs, Lorien watched, quietly impressed by Gwen’s flexibility. With a body like that, no wonder back in Westview she had easily straddled his shoulders to stretch.
Ah, right—she’d mentioned trying that move. He still hadn’t gotten around to it. Next time, he mustn’t forget.
...
When the two girls finished their workout, Lorien brought Bella down. Wanda, still on her yoga mat, stretched out her arms toward him.
"My legs are so sore... Lorien, I can’t get up..."
Lorien knew she was serious this time. He walked over, lifted her into his arms, and carried her to the bow of the yacht, gently placing her on a lounge chair.
Aria explained softly from the side.
"This is normal, Miss Wanda. Stretching ligaments requires constantly pushing past your limits, then relying on your body’s recovery. Over time, the accumulation will allow you to reach your goal."
That was the principle.
But Wanda still rested her hand on her lower abdomen. The ligaments weren’t exactly there—but close enough.
Lorien chuckled at the sight.
"Want me to rub it for you?"
Wanda rolled her eyes. If Lorien rubbed it, it wouldn’t be just sore anymore.
Hearing that, she quickly pulled her legs back and hugged them.
Lorien just smiled.
"Actually, exercise is the most stable investment for ordinary people, and also the one with the highest return."
"As long as they keep at it, every drop of sweat they shed is like money invested. Little by little, it adds up, and eventually, the rewards will be tremendous."
Wanda thought for a moment and nodded in agreement.
For ordinary people, the best investment was in themselves. Even if she wasn’t all that familiar with "ordinary people," she still knew how to put it.
"I’ll stick with it, Lorien."
"That’s good."
Lorien smiled happily. When Wanda mastered yoga, she would be happy—and he would be even happier.
...
Suddenly, a powerful wave rippled from the distance.
Lorien, Wanda, and Gwen all turned their eyes that way. A massive black dorsal fin, easily hundreds of meters long, was slicing through the sea toward them.
"It’s the little guy!"
Gwen recognized it immediately.
Wanda also caught on and gasped.
"The little guy came back?"
Lorien took a closer look, then nodded.
"Yeah, it’s him."
Before long, Godzilla swam up beside the yacht and raised his head above the waves.
Splashhhh—!
Water poured down in torrents as his massive head broke the surface, flinging seawater high into the air. It took a long moment before it finally settled.
But something was different.
Godzilla’s appearance had completely changed.
"Whoa, little guy, why did you change color?!" Gwen’s eyes widened.
Originally, Godzilla’s scales were a dark gray, like rough metal or stone. Now, the gray was gone—his body was pure black, like he’d changed into a new skin.
It was like going from marble skin to black knight armor.
"Cool," Gwen praised.
Lorien nodded in agreement.
"Not bad. Pretty stylish."
Receiving compliments from his master and mistress, Godzilla cracked a huge grin—suddenly looking a lot like Venom.
Gwen instantly retracted her praise.
"Okay, now you don’t look good anymore!"
Godzilla’s expression vanished in a heartbeat, his face returning to blank seriousness, those dead-fish eyes staring ahead.
Gwen nodded approvingly.
"Yeah, this is better. Way cooler."
So it turned out Godzilla looked his best when he was being serious.
Lorien observed him carefully. This darker appearance meant only one thing—Godzilla was growing at an incredible pace.
He scanned Godzilla’s body with his mind.
Good grief.
In just a few days, the little guy had grown from 300 meters to 370 meters long. Only 130 more to go before he reached 500 meters—the size needed for Cybertron. At this rate, it wouldn’t even take two weeks.
Lorien pointed out toward the open sea.
"Give us a one-second blast of your atomic breath. Just one second, and aim it at the ocean."
Hearing his order, Godzilla turned in the direction Lorien pointed.
"Atomic breath?" Gwen blinked in surprise.
"What kind of ability is that?"
"You’ll see," Lorien said as he lowered his hand. "Godzilla didn’t absorb all that nuclear fusion energy for nothing."
At those words, Wanda’s instincts screamed. She quickly pulled the Book of the Vishanti from the void and cast a protective buff over the yacht—shielding it from whatever was about to come.
Just as she finished and tucked the book away—
"Beep... beep..."
A strange pulsing sound echoed.
"Huh? Where’s that coming from?" Wanda frowned.
Then—
"Beep... beep... beep..."
The pulses grew faster.
Both women realized what it was. Godzilla’s dorsal fins were glowing with an intense blue light, each fin lighting up in sequence, the glow climbing up toward his head.
With every pulse, another fin lit up.
The pace quickened.
"Beep! Beep! Beep!"
Finally, the light reached his throat. Godzilla opened his massive jaws.
Before Wanda and Gwen’s wide eyes, a blazing blue radiance gathered in his mouth—then he unleashed it toward the spot Lorien had pointed out.
"Rooooooar!!!"
The roar shook the heavens.
A blinding beam of atomic breath tore through the ocean, punching straight down to the seabed.
Ssshhhhh—!
The seawater vaporized instantly, white mist rising in violent bursts.
Godzilla tilted his head upward, dragging the beam along with him like a giant laser sweep.
Then it stopped—exactly one second, just as Lorien ordered.
Even after his mouth closed, the ocean took a while to collapse back in on itself. For that brief time, Gwen and Wanda could see the exposed seafloor.
When the sea finally filled back in, aside from bubbles rising from the superheated ground, it was as if nothing had ever happened.
"That’s insane..." Gwen breathed, stunned.
She knew she couldn’t possibly withstand an attack like that.
Wanda thought about it and shook her head. Maybe her magic could hold, maybe not. That breath was just too overwhelming.
Aria, after analyzing the spectacle, spoke calmly.
"Atomic Breath: Intensity cannot be measured. Core temperature exceeds that of a typical star. If sustained long enough, it can pierce certain planets without molten cores."
Planets without cores?
Large ones like Earth naturally had molten centers due to gravity. But smaller bodies, like the Moon, lacked them. Which meant, if Godzilla kept the breath going, theoretically he could burn straight through the Moon. Earth, however, would withstand it.
That was the logic.
Lorien nodded in satisfaction.
"Attack strength has reached Sky Father–level. That’s star-destroying power."
"As long as the little guy grows to 500 meters, most Sky Father–level beings won’t be able to withstand a direct hit from his atomic breath."
Sky Father–level beings wielded power to wipe out stars. Within a star system, they were practically unrivaled.
Elder God–level beings, on the other hand, were the strongest only on a planetary scale—like the top tier of Earth.
That was the difference between Elder Gods and Sky Fathers.
The difference between mortals and true gods.
"You’re really strong, little guy..." Gwen studied Godzilla for a moment, then pulled out the Black Necrosword and glanced at it.
"Would this work on him?"
Godzilla had been in a playful mood, but the instant Gwen drew the Black Necrosword, a suffocating aura of death radiated from it.
"Ah..."
Godzilla flinched, startled.
"Don’t stab him. That thing would kill him in just a few strikes."
Lorien was shaken as well.
The Black Necrosword wasn’t just lethal to Sky Father–level beings—it could even threaten Universal-level ones. Back in the day, Knull had used it to behead a Celestial. That severed head was still being excavated on Cybertron.
And Gwen was thinking of stabbing Godzilla with it? One or two hits, and he’d be done for. That was like handing a kid a cannon.
Even Godzilla looked frightened.
Realizing just how dangerous the weapon was, Gwen quickly put it away with a laugh.
"I was only asking, haha~"
As soon as she stored it, Godzilla let out a sigh of relief. Even without being stabbed, just having the blade near him made him uneasy.
It couldn’t be helped—the Black Necrosword was built to counter living beings. Every life it took only made it stronger by absorbing their essence. That kind of weapon was a threat to every creature in existence. No exceptions.
...
Boom~~~!
Suddenly, the seabed rumbled violently, shaking the sea and the yacht with it.
"An earthquake?" Wanda grabbed onto Lorien’s arm.
Gwen turned to look at Godzilla.
Sensing her gaze, Godzilla shook his head quickly, signaling that it wasn’t him.
Then what was it?
Lorien focused for a moment, then chuckled.
"Not an earthquake."
"Not an earthquake?" Wanda frowned. "Then what is it?"
"The whole world’s shaking because something’s trying to break out of its shell."
Break out of its shell?
The moment Lorien said it, both Gwen and Wanda understood.
"Is the Celestial being born?!"
"Yes." Lorien confirmed with a nod.
Right then, a surge of feedback washed over him—Sersi was using the power he had granted her.
"Let’s go." Lorien raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
"We’ll take a look ourselves."
Snap!
In an instant, not just the five of them, but the entire yacht and Godzilla vanished.
Moving such massive objects was trivial for Lorien. Size made no difference to him.
A heartbeat later, the five companions, Godzilla, and the yacht reappeared on Fuerteventura Island, Spain—the site where the Celestial Seed had been planted.
The yacht was cloaked in invisibility, but Godzilla wasn’t. His massive body stepped onto the shallows along the coast, looming like a living fortress.
Not far away, several Eternals were locked in battle, while packs of Deviants swarmed and pursued them.
Lorien’s eyes immediately sought out Sersi.
As expected, in the distance, five colossal fingers were forcing their way out of the ground. Even with only their tips showing, each was at least a kilometer tall.
Sersi stood upon the massive palm, straining desperately to petrify it.
The Celestial Seed had only hatched its hand. Given more time, the arm, the head, the body—and eventually an entire Celestial—would emerge.
"Ahhh—!"
At that moment, Sersi’s power erupted like a burning cosmos. Her whole body blazed with fiery crimson flames. The sleeves on her arms were incinerated completely, and the twin phoenix tattoos burned furiously, channeling energy into petrification, trying to seal the Celestial for good.
Before, she had needed half of the Eternals aiding her. Now, fueled only by the phoenix tattoos, she was close to singlehandedly sealing the Celestial permanently.
"That’s not good." Lorien frowned. "Looks like I gave her too much of a blessing."
Would Sersi end up killing the Celestial outright? If that happened, how would Gwen ever get her chance to strike it down?
He was just about to send Gwen in when—
"What are you doing, Sersi?!"
Bang!
Ikaris, the knockoff Superman, flew in and delivered a brutal kick that sent Sersi crashing away. The petrification stopped immediately.
