Marvel: The Psychologist Who Stole Wanda and Gwen's Hearts!

Chapter 71 - 071: The Witch Knight! Godzilla Has Grown Up! Smash Odin’s Armor!

The next day, Lorien woke up in a warm embrace.

Last night had been great. But compared to Gwen, Wanda’s combat power wasn’t even in the same league. Could it be because Gwen’s physical stats were naturally stronger? Probably.

"Maybe that’s just how sorcerers are?" Lorien thought about it for a moment.

Sorcerers—high attack, low defense. It made sense when you thought about it. They were fragile, with low stamina. Sure, their attack power was high, but they’d be winded after just a few steps. Nothing unusual there.

Which meant he really needed to work on improving Wanda’s physical fitness when he had the time. Or find some gear that could greatly boost her recovery. Otherwise, she’d just stay... weak. Ridiculously weak!

As the saying goes: morning training beats evening practice. In other words, it’s better to work out early than later in the day. A serious saying—not some twisted excuse. Though in practice... that was another matter entirely.

"You..."

An hour later, Lorien, feeling refreshed, took a hot shower.

Snap!

A snap of his fingers, and the whole place was spotless again.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations, Lorien, you have obtained the title: Witch Knight!]

"Huh?" Lorien froze for a moment when he saw the title. "Same effect as before?"

[Yes. It will slightly but permanently boost your check-in rewards.]

"Nice."

After showering, Lorien glanced at the leftovers on the table. He heated them up and had them for breakfast. Once he was done, he changed clothes, put on his shoes, and headed out.

You know, when you’re feeling refreshed, going out in the morning just hits differently. Even if you don’t do much exercise, simply stepping outside makes the whole day feel fuller—and your mood so much better.

So Lorien jogged along the beach. Halfway through, a thought popped into his head.

"My Godzilla... uh..."

It had been ages since he last saw it.

"Guess I should go check on him."

Snap!

With a snap of his fingers, Lorien appeared in the deep waters off a certain island nation. He went straight to where he’d placed the heavy nuclear fusion device back when he was twenty-six.

But the moment he got there—

"Where’s my heavy nuclear fusion ball?"

He had cast a radiation-blocking spell around it, with a radius about a meter larger than the ball itself. That way, if Godzilla grew too big to carry the ball unnoticed, it could still stay close enough to absorb radiation and grow. After all, Godzilla had a unique ability to actively draw in radiation. So there shouldn’t have been any problem.

But now the problem was... Where was it?

Lorien scanned the surroundings. The only way to find Godzilla was to release the Phoenix Force again to lure it over. That was how he’d called it before—and how he’d left. Logically, Godzilla should recognize the energy.

So he released it.

Half an hour passed... Still no sign of Godzilla.

"Don’t tell me... it’s gone?"

A pang hit Lorien’s chest. If Godzilla had died, he’d actually feel a little sad—it was his first pet, after all.

But then—

Boom~~~

The seabed rumbled beneath him. Lorien instantly pinpointed Godzilla’s location!

"It’s alive!"

A few minutes later, a massive creature emerged, its eyes alone bigger than Lorien himself. In the deep sea, they weren’t just like lanterns—they were the size of a door. Anyone else would have been scared out of their wits. But this was his pet.

"How long’s it been? And you’ve already grown this much?"

Lorien stared in shock at those lantern-sized eyes. Godzilla really grew this fast?

"Mmm!"

"Roar!"

"Mmm!"

The giant beast let out a low "Mmm" when it saw Lorien. Then it roared from deep in its throat, swishing its massive tail. It circled around him, the water churning into rolling waves with every sweep of that tail.

"Alright, alright, you’re this big and still acting like a puppy."

Lorien patted its head. He could only reach one horn, but Godzilla was clearly overjoyed.

Then Godzilla stepped back a few paces and opened its mouth wide in front of him. Lorien leaned in for a look.

"Well, would you look at that."

"No wonder I couldn’t find it."

"So you’ve been keeping it in your mouth like candy?"

He let out a helpless laugh. Godzilla rumbled in response.

So that was why Lorien had spent so long searching with no luck—the thing had been in its mouth the whole time. And honestly, it made sense.

Now that Godzilla’s eyes alone were two meters wide, its overall height had to be at least several dozen meters. Meanwhile, the heavy nuclear fusion ball was less than two meters in diameter. Which meant running around with a reactor smaller than one of its eyes in its mouth was perfectly reasonable for it.

But as Godzilla showed him the reactor, Lorien noticed the light on it flashing red. The energy inside was almost depleted.

"So fast?" He was momentarily stunned.

This was something that could power a Planetary Engine for ages, yet in Godzilla’s mouth it had been drained this quickly?

Lorien shook his head. Good thing he had plenty—one thousand in total. Now, there were 999 left.

He pulled out another reactor, cast the same protective spell over it, and tossed it straight into Godzilla’s mouth.

"Roooaaar~~~!"

Godzilla was so thrilled it nearly danced in place, sending the surrounding seawater rocking in all directions.

"Alright, alright."

Lorien looked over the massive creature, clearly satisfied, then nodded toward the island nation in the distance.

"You, pick a time to clear out all the places there with radiation. But remember—we protect Earth’s environment. When you eat, clean it all up. Don’t let anything leak into the sea, got it? Just go for the ones with nuclear power plants."

"Rooaaar~~~!"

Godzilla blinked in acknowledgment.

"Mm, good."

Lorien gave a pleased nod, then placed his hand on Godzilla, casting another spell. This one was for protection and tracking. From now on, no matter where Godzilla was, Lorien would know.

If the spell detected its life was in danger, it would instantly teleport Godzilla to the waters near Lorien. That way, it would always be safe.

"Alright, I’m heading off."

Once the safeguards were in place, Lorien clapped his hands, ready to leave.

"Rooaar..."

Godzilla, whose intelligence was slowly growing, suddenly looked even more downcast. Its massive body seemed weighed down by sadness.

Seeing this, Lorien could only sigh.

"Fine, I’ll keep you company for an hour. I’ll sit on your head, and you can take me for a ride over the sea."

Godzilla’s door-sized eyes went wide, and it nodded eagerly.

...

Above the Pacific Ocean, Lorien rode on Godzilla’s head, cutting through the wind and waves.

They passed through schools of fish, swam alongside whales, and drifted past glowing jellyfish. In that single hour, Godzilla showed him all the places it had found interesting during this time apart.

Only then did Lorien realize—Godzilla was sharing. It was showing him its favorite spots.

Lorien patted its massive head.

"Thanks, these are all beautiful."

"Rooaar!!!"

Godzilla’s excitement surged, and it poured all its strength into swimming.

As they looped around the Pacific, Lorien spotted a whaling ship near a small island. They were hauling in several whales—some with calves.

Lorien’s smile turned cold. He patted Godzilla again.

"Go. Sink that ship full of bad guys."

"Rooaar!"

At the command, Godzilla charged ahead, accelerating fast. By the time the whalers realized what was happening, it was already on top of them.

Boom~~~

A thunderous impact shook the sea, sending waves surging in every direction. When the waters finally settled, there wasn’t even a full piece of wreckage left.

Lorien gave Godzilla an approving pat.

"Remember—any whaling ships like that, take them out."

"Rooaar~!"

Godzilla promised in its own way. From now on, none would escape.

...

An hour later, Godzilla returned, clearly satisfied. Lorien reached up and patted its forehead.

"I really have to go this time.

When you’ve grown strong enough, or learned how to shrink your size, we can see each other more often. Or..."

Lorien didn’t finish that last thought.

He waited until he had said his goodbyes to Godzilla and returned to the empty shore near New York before finally adding, "Or I could package you as a superhero—then you could roam the oceans in the open."

Yes, in the Marvel world, Lorien could turn Godzilla into a star. Let it take down villains, gain fame, and become a true superhero. As long as it didn’t hurt people, and actively fought the bad guys, there would be more fans than there were fish in the sea.

Godzilla was spectacular—majestic and awe-inspiring.

"Not bad. If I get the chance, I could really pull that off."

The more Lorien thought about it, the more viable the idea seemed. All it needed was the right opportunity. And if the opportunity didn’t come, he could just wait until the Avengers’ final battle.

While everyone else shouted, "Avengers Assemble!"

He would yell, "Go, buddy!"

And then a Godzilla hundreds of meters tall would unleash a Atomic breath, wiping out everything on the opposing side.

Yes, that would be a perfect ending. Satisfying and fun.

With that pleasant thought, Lorien decided to head back. He wanted to see if Wanda was awake, and whether she still had enough energy left... if she did, then—well, ahem.

...

"Lorien!"

Just as he was about to head home, a sharp voice rang out from the direction of the city.

Lorien turned and saw a younger-looking Hela flying toward him, with a black-and-silver suit of armor in pursuit.

One glance was all it took—he recognized it immediately.

The Destroyer armor. Odin’s real Destroyer armor.

And it was firing lasers.

"Pffft—boom!"

"Pffft—boom!"

Its aim was atrocious. Several blasts in, and the only thing it managed to damage was the city itself—high-rises and other buildings took the hits.

Screams echoed through the streets. Even Lorien felt a pang of sympathy for the residents. What a way to start the morning.

Hela turned midair, flinging a few Night Sky Swords at the armor. They pierced through, but could only stall it briefly. She quickly darted to Lorien’s side.

"Lorien! Odin sent this! It’s his real Destroyer armor!"

"I know," Lorien replied, then asked, "Did you lead it here?"

Hela’s expression tightened. She had no choice but to tell the truth.

"I couldn’t help it. After I broke the seal, my divine power wasn’t just halved—it’s been fading little by little. Odin must have tampered with me! I can’t beat this armor right now, and the more I fight it, the faster my power drains. Look!"

She grabbed Lorien’s hand, rubbed it in her own, then pressed it against her cheek.

"Feel that? Softer, right? As my divine power fades, my appearance will keep getting younger."

Lorien blinked. "Wait—so you could turn into a loli?"

Hela frowned in confusion, then quickly said, "Don’t just say loli! I could even turn into a baby!"

"No, no." Lorien shook his head firmly. "Baby is a no. Loli is fine. If you’re a loli, you’re a legal loli. But I definitely can’t accept you as a baby."

Hela: ???

What was he even talking about? Were they having the same conversation?

"Whatever!" she blurted, practically begging now. "Loli or whatever, I don’t care—just destroy Odin’s armor!"

"You said it." Lorien nodded, but as he raised his hand to act, he clicked his tongue.

"Wait, this won’t do. I don’t have a reason."

If he acted just to see Hela as a loli, wouldn’t that make him look like some shameless creep? That would ruin his image.

"What reason?" Hela demanded, glancing at the approaching armor and nearly in tears. "Does there have to be a reason?!"

"There does."

She stared at him like he was insane.

"You really don’t get it, do you? This is like being sold a monthly pass with only a few measly gems for thirty bucks. Total waste of money. Better to spend it on two cups of milk tea. Or, if it’s Assam, seven bottles and still have change left.

But if you told me that monthly pass came with a brand-new swimsuit illustration of my wife? Then suddenly it’s worth it. And no, it’s not about the swimsuit—it’s that thirty bucks is a steal."

Hela could only gape as Lorien tried to justify his "need" for the right reason.

...

"Ding~"

His phone buzzed with a message.

[Wanda: Lorien! What’s going on? The tremors in New York woke me up! Is there a crisis?]

There it was—the perfect excuse.

Lorien nodded to himself and replied, [Almost handled.] Then he pocketed the phone, pointed at the charging Destroyer armor, and said, "You’re finished, pal."

In an instant, his outstretched hand closed into a fist.

Crack.

The Destroyer armor froze midair, metal groaning under the invisible pressure. Lorien almost crushed it outright, but then reconsidered. A divine artifact like this was worth keeping—its information could be erased, and the rest stored for collection.

With a wave of his hand, the Phoenix Force surged forth. A burst of flame erupted across the armor before vanishing without a trace.

Somewhere far away, Hela could swear she heard Odin’s agonized scream.

Then Lorien flipped his hand again, and the armor disappeared—claimed as his own. Now he could give it to anyone, change the style for either gender, and design its appearance however he pleased.
