While Gu Xi was cleaning up the battlefield, Dominic was also ordering his subordinates to clean up.

Unlike Gu Xi, who was only dealing with the situation at the North City Wall, Dominic went straight ahead and put the Mysterious Maze away, sending everyone in the city who could still move out.

The goal was to haul everything back into the city.

And the focus of the battlefield cleanup, apart from the place where the Shadow Heroes fell on the south side, was the spot where the Mud Dragons were killed.

Among the three battlefields, the Mud Dragons were the ones wiped out the fastest.

After all, they had the fewest numbers, and the Giant Dragon Corps they were facing wasn’t anything like what the Mud Dragons had imagined—far more than "less than a hundred."

To secure victory in this fight, Dominic had thrown in all those Giant Dragons he’d just released from the Maze.

There were a full three hundred sixty Giant Dragons among them.

Even though their Physical Strength still wasn’t back to full.

Once they got into the air and joined the bombardment, they could still do their part.

Like this, the number of Giant Dragons shot past five hundred, and with that kind of Dragon Breath output, nobody in their right mind would underestimate them.

One wave of Dragon Breath, and forget Mud Dragons—steel would melt under that.

Those Mud Dragons couldn’t really fly; they claimed they could, but they could only get ten-odd meters off the ground, and they couldn’t spit out proper Dragon Breath either.

Their original idea was to trick the Giant Dragons down and then engage them in close combat.

In the Mud Dragons’ view, their numbers and size were comparable to the Giant Dragons.

In terms of strength, even though they couldn’t breath Dragon Breath, they had no problem with melee; in one-on-one, they were confident they could at least fight Giant Dragons to a draw in close combat.

And their Life Force was extremely high—so long as they bit a Giant Dragon to death, no matter how heavy the injuries on their bodies, they could recover.

You could say they had accounted for everything—except the crucial point.

Why should the Giant Dragons brawl with them? Is it that they can’t fly high?

Is it that Dragon Breath is hard to use?

Or that the Giant Dragons here aren’t numerous enough?

That’s the difference between having a Hero in command and not having one.

At the very least, a brain is a wonderful thing—not everyone has one.

With more than five hundred Giant Dragons breathing together, it only took one pass for the Mud Dragons to be burned out of existence.

Afterward, the Giant Dragons circled once in the sky, then turned and rushed toward the South City Gate to join the final battle.

The Mud Dragon corpses were left on the spot.

After the fighting ended and the Giant Dragons all went back to rest, Dominic received information about the Mud Dragons and rushed over at once to deal with these Mud Dragons that had been burned hard.

After being washed back and forth several times by Dragon Breath, the Mud Dragons had been burned down into piles of mud lumps.

Inside those mud lumps was a large amount of strange power, along with a portion of Dragon Vein power.

Although the detailed Attributes of this stuff weren’t clear yet, Dominic was certain it was definitely valuable.

Ever since he got the Mysterious Maze, Dominic’s thinking had shifted.

Now he had only one idea in his Heart: to make full use of the Maze.

He was preparing to release the Mysterious Maze from the Maze Demon City.

Right now, the Mysterious Maze could only be deployed within a few li outside Maze Demon City.

That was not what Dominic wanted.

What Dominic really wanted was to use Maze Demon City as the center and lay down layer after layer of Mazes outward.

Turn every region that could be taken and expanded into Maze territory.

It sounded a bit over the top, but after thinking it through, Dominic felt it actually wasn’t that difficult.

The Mysterious Maze was already under Dominic’s control.

And now, outside the wilderness, within five or six hundred li, there were no Deceitful Shadows left.

This was the best time to swallow the wilderness and seize all kinds of Resource points.

Once he took those Resource points, he intended to place the Mysterious Maze over them, slowly turning the mobile Maze into fixed Mazes, and finally, via deploying the Mysterious Maze and constructing real Mazes, transform the entire area into a Maze District.

By then, no matter who came in, they’d have to take the long way around.

You have to admit, Dominic’s plan sounded pretty good.

It was just that his thinking wasn’t entirely realistic.

He wasn’t considering how many Resources Maze Demon City actually had to let him go on such a Daxing construction spree for a giant Maze.

Nor was he considering whether Yalidu City would provide any Resource support.

Right now Dominic wasn’t thinking that far ahead; his focus was firmly on those mud blocks made from the Mud Dragons.

Dominic wanted, first and last, to send all these mud blocks into the Mysterious Maze, to strengthen the Maze’s quality and Level.

That way, when the Mysterious Maze was deployed outward, he could set up more Mazes.

As for whether to send these mud blocks to Yalidu City?

Dominic made a "high EQ" decision.

Don’t send them.

So sometimes you really do have to admit, there are reasons why certain people aren’t valued.

Dominic had no idea what he might be missing out on in the future.

Right now, at least, he was very pleased with himself.

After the battle here ended, Gu Xi noticed that the Lord of Skeletons was coming down from the castle of Maze Demon City.

She found Gu Xi: "My Lord, I’m preparing to Return; is there anything you need me to take back?"

"Nothing. You go back first. I’ll talk to Dominic in a bit; I’m heading back to the city too."

Seeing that things here were basically wrapped up and the Deceitful Shadows in the outer area had been largely cleared, Gu Xi didn’t intend to stay any longer.

He was leaving the outward expansion to Dominic.

Once he Returned to Yalidov, he’d check what the two Shadow Heroes killed in this siege battle had been converted into.

Both of those Heroes were rather distinctive.

One had a big imagination and always managed to do unexpected things.

The other was a more orthodox Hero, showing solid performance both in siege warfare and in field deployment.

Although he hadn’t fought that one directly, Gu Xi favored that Hero more.

If trained well, he’d be a suitable Main Battle Hero.

As for the one with the big imagination, he could be assigned to tackle some higher-difficulty missions.

When facing that kind of task, Heroes with a bigger imagination often find different solution paths.

Listening to Gu Xi, the Lord of Skeletons immediately said, "All right, my Lord, then I’ll Return first."

Gu Xi nodded to her, then headed toward Dominic.

The Lord of Skeletons didn’t linger; she ran to the Flying Point by the City Wall, mounted a Giant Bat, and flew off.

"You chose well."

Watching the Giant Bat take off, Gu Xi nodded in satisfaction.

"Taking a city and first building a Flying Point is an excellent idea. Roads and links are the key between cities.

In this battle you proved your potential. I can safely entrust Maze Demon City to you. Do you remember the plan I mentioned before?"

"I remember: using the chance that the Deceitful Shadows gathered their forces to besiege us and were wiped out, we’ll seize the Resource points outside Maze Demon City and push our battle record out to a thousand li."

"Very good. I’m leaving that to you."

"Please rest assured, My Lord. However, My Lord, I have a request." Dominic didn’t hesitate and directly voiced a suggestion.

"Speak."

"I want to name the newly taken area the Maze District."
