"Uh! Familiar!"

Facing Gu Xi's question, Eve finally uttered this.

As Gu Xi's Contracted Undead, although she was a regulation-standard entity, she was quite clear about the meaning behind Gu Xi's words.

It was precisely because of this standard conversion that her memory and soul were relatively complete.

She remembered quite clearly some things about this world.

"I understand what you mean, sir. You want to know how this world ended up like this, right?"

Gu Xi glanced at his task list and nodded affirmatively.

"Actually, this world was deceived by someone."

Eve recalled the situation at that time.

In the era when Eve was still alive, this world was considered a strong giant world, apart from the Underworld, there was also the surface part.

There were a total of nine tower forces ruling this world.

Inside each tower, a powerful 19-level entity resided as a guardian.

All the tower forces had one important goal, to annex other forces, push the big shot guarding their own force to step into level 20, and promote this world.

For this matter, several major battles occurred between the seven towers.

But for various reasons, the intensity of the battles wasn't too high.

On one hand, it was because the level 19 leaders were too strong; before eliminating a level 19 powerhouse, no one would deliver a devastating blow to a tower force.

Because no one was sure what kind of power a level 19 big shot could unleash at that time.

Furthermore, teaming up with several level 19s to kill a tower's level 19 was not feasible.

On one hand, there were conflicts between the towers, and on the other hand, no one dared to unite, because all the leaders understood that if the first level 19 leader was killed this way,

then the next could very likely be themselves.

Therefore, a balance was maintained between the level 19 leaders.

Letting the high-levels of the tower forces figure it out themselves.

Consequently, battles between the towers transformed into resource or technological battles.

Particularly in some key research areas, whether magic or technology, as long as one tower came up with something, a corresponding technology was immediately developed.

After that, a battle would ensue, and all forces would retreat to rehabilitate, research anew.

The days passed one by one in this manner.

Suddenly one day, among the seven forces, a force named Dragon Exile Tower suddenly discovered a new technology.

This technology required the hearts of top-tier tower forces' species, Titans, as materials to create Puppet Giant Dragons.

Originally, this situation was just about exchanging high-tier species one for one.

Normal people wouldn't ever choose this path.

Even Dragon Exile Tower didn't widely apply this technology.

Only during major wars, they retrieved Titan corpses from the battlefield to create Puppet Giant Dragons.

In the eyes of high-level leaders of Dragon Exile Tower at the time, this was a good way to replenish their high-tier troops.

When a Titan died, its heart would immediately be used to create a Puppet Giant Dragon.

Others' troops would deplete with more battles, while theirs would increase with more fights, ultimately dominating this world.

But no one could have expected that in this world, a Hero with a Giant Dragon Talent would emerge.

Because this world was mainly tower forces-centric, Giant Dragons were either rare or used by Titans as rites of passage.

There was never any chance for this Hero to lead Giant Dragons into battle.

Thus, this Hero had never been able to grow.

But now, this technology offered this Hero hope, and he applied to manage the Puppet Giant Dragons made using it.

For this Hero, it was an opportunity; for Dragon Exile Tower, it should have been a decent choice as well.

As no one there had the talent to enhance Giant Dragons like this Hero.

But unexpectedly, his application was rejected.

Ultimately, the management of Puppet Giant Dragons was entrusted to a direct descendant of a high-ranking member of Dragon Exile Tower.

His talent was just the most ordinary Financial Skill, offering no benefit to the Giant Dragons.

This enraged the Hero greatly.

He stole the technology from Dragon Exile Tower and fled to the territory of Silverlight Academy.

Silverlight Academy was the only tower force among the seven to establish its presence in the desert.

Because the environment here was extremely harsh, the research direction focused on creating same-level units with the least materials possible.

After fleeing to Silverlight Academy, the Hero hid his identity for a while, learning the frugal techniques of Silverlight Academy.

Using Dragon Exile Tower's technology, he developed a method to create three Puppet Dragons from one Titan heart.

With this technology, the Hero saw hope again, so he reported it to Silverlight Academy, hoping for the Academy's support.

But the people of Silverlight Academy told the Hero that while he could divide a Titan heart into three to create three Puppet Dragons,

the combat power of Puppet Dragons would decrease significantly, only under the Hero's lead would they have true Giant Dragon combat power; with other Heroes, they wouldn't have the same effect.

Silverlight Academy wasn't going to abandon its own Heroes for a turncoat Hero.

So, even though the Hero had developed a method, he was not acknowledged.

The hopeless Hero had to leave Silverlight Academy, seeking sanctuary in other forces.

However, having rebelled twice in a row, no other tower forces would accept him.

Ultimately, he could only become a wandering Hero, though fortunately, with a few Puppet Dragons in tow, no one bothered him along his journey.

But things couldn't continue like this, most importantly, during his wanderings, he discovered a problem with the Puppet Dragons made from economical materials.

They needed energy replenishment.

Initially, he supplied Mana to the Puppet Dragons.

Later, as his Mana became insufficient, he had to start drawing on the Hero's Life Force.

This left the Hero helpless; he had to find some solution.

If he lost those few Puppet Dragons, he would truly be doomed.

Hence, the Hero set his sights on the Earth Veins.

He discovered that when the Puppet Dragons drew Power of the Earth Veins, they could level up.

This presented an opportunity to him.

So the Hero led the Puppet Dragons into the Underworld, extracting power from some mines or Earth Veins to enhance his Puppet Dragons.

Until one day when another battle broke out among the Seven Great Forces, he unexpectedly joined the fight as an independent Hero.

Behind him, followed three level 19 Puppet Dragons.
