Time Travel: The Noble Family

Yueyao told Zhuang Ruolan about Mingzhu inviting her to go shopping on East Street, and Zhuang Ruolan agreed very readily.

Zhuang Ruolan laughed and said, "This time going out, don’t buy several carts of things like last time. You still haven’t used up all of the stuff from last time!"

Yueyao laughed and said, "If I have the same luck as last time, I’ll definitely buy more. It’s not against the law, and I should take advantage of every good opportunity."

Zhuang Ruolan found this very amusing.

After chatting with Zhuang Ruolan for a while, Yueyao asked as she was leaving, "Cousin-in-law, is there anything you want? I can bring it back for you tomorrow."

Zhuang Ruolan said, "I don’t want anything in particular. You don’t often get to go out, so buy some nice things for yourself."

Yueyao nodded with a smile.

When she returned to Begonia Garden, Xiang Wei suddenly asked Yueyao, "Miss, do you want to earn money?" It was what Yueyao had said about not passing up good opportunities that triggered Xiang Wei’s question.

Yueyao laughed and said, "Who doesn’t want to earn money? But I can’t do anything illegal. It has to come from a legitimate source." She didn’t want to be involved in any business that was unsavory; such money was not worth receiving to her.

Xiang Wei was both irritated and amused. "As if I could convince you to do anything illegal. The person capable of persuading you to break the law probably hasn’t been born yet!" She knew Yueyao had her principles, and persuading her to cross the line was absolutely impossible.

Yueyao laughed and asked, "So tell me, what is there that’s a sure-fire way to make money without breaking the law?" Not taking the opportunity to make money was foolish, and even if she didn’t need it for herself, she could still donate it to help others.

Now, Xiang Wei didn’t say a word, only saying, "I’ll tell you in a couple of days."
