Yet Max’s Three Dimensional Body anticipated it perfectly, and with an unbothered calm he activated his defensive skill, Eternal Bulwark, conjuring forth a massive gate forged of demonic heads writhing and snarling in a macabre dance, the infernal structure materializing just in time to absorb the spear’s lethal thrust with a deep, metallic thud, deflecting Scott’s attack harmlessly.
But no sooner had the spear glanced away than a storm of ten lightning spears, conjured by Josh in a furious counterstrike, streaked in from the opposite side, each crackling with a destructive fury as they closed in on Max like divine retribution.
