"Let’s go. I’ll take you to the teleportation chamber that’ll return you to your planet," Lady Virelia said with a soft smile, her voice calm and melodic as always.
Max gave Lord Harthorne a polite nod and followed Lady Virelia out of the grand Treasure Hall, the echoes of their footsteps fading beneath the towering halls filled with power and ancient relics.
As they stepped through a few connecting corridors, guarded by faint glowing sigils and sealed doors, they finally arrived at a quiet chamber bathed in pale blue light. At the center of the room stood a raised teleportation platform, its surface etched with runes that pulsed faintly, waiting to be activated.
Resting lazily near the edge of the platform was a familiar figure—the parrot spirit, its feathers bright and shimmering with hues of blue and gold.
The moment it saw Max, its eyes widened and it gave a cheerful squawk, flapping its wings energetically before soaring over and perching comfortably on Max’s shoulder like it had never left.
"Take him directly back to his planet," Lady Virelia instructed, her voice firm but kind as she looked at the parrot spirit.
The spirit gave a quick, eager nod, already beginning to channel the teleportation energy through the platform.
Max stood calmly, taking in one last look at the chamber—and at Lady Virelia, who had quietly offered him more than most ever had.
She stepped back, giving them space, her robes fluttering slightly from the rising energy in the room.
And then, in an instant, the platform lit up with a blinding surge of blue light, enveloping Max and the parrot spirit. With a gentle hum and a flash that illuminated the chamber, they vanished—disappearing across space and light, headed back to the world that waited for them.
