The sect is a place filled with the best and the brightest, so in one way or another, he is going to find someone with something unique he can’t measure up to, and if he wants to reach perfection and surpass his past selves, then he must ensure he was the best version of them all.
Vexthra, being a goddess and knowing what it takes to reach that stage, advised him to improve the smallest aspect of himself.
