The chef couldn’t understand why they were so lax! They were casually talking to each other about beating him up and getting his key as if it was the easiest thing in the world.
They weren’t even subtle. He was right there, listening to them!
He had never met such a strange group of demi-humans. It was much more obvious now that they were not local to Metropolis. Otherwise, they would have known that he was among the top non-Maugnetic fighters of the Pyramidic Cuisine.
And judging from the power emanating from the red-scaled Dragonborn, he estimated that the boy was only in the 4-star realm, while he was in the 5-star realm.
Not only that, but he had the power of a Mithril Relic by his side. Once he had proven his worth in this auction, then there was a good chance that he would be promoted to a major officer! He could have a chance to become a Maugnetic!
So all in all, he found no basis for Zion to be as confident as he was in this fight. He wouldn’t be talking so casually to his teammate if he knew the strength that he was facing.
From what he could see, the only way that he could lose was if it was a two versus one.
"There is no way for you to team up against me," he said to the Dragonborns. "The barrier separating the Desert region to the snowy region cannot be crossed by any entity, magic, or power."
He thought that that was the reason why the white-scaled Dragonborn was here. She was here to help Zion.
"Really, that’s good," Zion breathed a sigh of relief. "I don’t want my sis to ruin my fun."
Even now, Zion still wasn’t exhibiting the same nervousness his other opponents exhibited when they faced him.
"I hate to break it to you, but this will not be fun."
