Chapter 500: Thinking of soda business
Michael and the Vanderbilt family were soon returned to their estate. Of course, they were once again escorted by the Duchess’ personal guards, gathering a lot of awed looks from their neighbors.
Max was the first one to get out of the carriage. His eyes looked dazed, as if he was in a constant state of shock.
Tracy, his wife, walked up to the gate and saw her husband walking with his head down. Immediately, she thought that something had gone wrong.
"It’ll be okay," she consoled him.
The other Vanderbilt family members got out of the gates and welcomed back their relatives.
"What happened? Why did you meet with the Duchess?"
"Do we have to leave the mansion?"
"Should we start packing now?"
Everyone looked towards Max, whose legs were jelly and had to hold on to his wife to keep walking.
"We...we got it..." he muttered, unheard by the others.
"What did you say?"
