Chapter 461: Sanctum Duel
As Michael stepped into the portal, he found himself in a completely new environment. He looked around and saw a bright blue sky overhead, with absolutely no cloud nor sun in sight. Yet, the world was still properly lit without it.
Everything seemed natural, yet unnatural at the same time.
The ground underneath him was soft grass, and all around him were these large rocks that obscured his parts of his vision. They were positioned in such a way that they seemed like obstacles and partitions in a maze.
This looks real. Yet, the mana contained inside is completely artificial.
Michael felt like he was in a spell. This wasn’t a pocket dimension; this was an entirely fabricated world that had four walls on the sides. There wasn’t anything beyond it, as if this was just a realistic movie set.
"How do you like your first experience in a Sanctum Duel?"
Kobra’s cocky voice echoed out from the distance. Judging from how far it echoed out, it seemed that he was placed at the very opposite end from where he was placed.
Michael used his Supreme Skill, peering through the large rocky surfaces blocking his vision. Eventually, he saw the light mana signature of Kobra, standing completely still with his hands crossed on his chest.
"I’ll give you this one chance, and one chance only. Surrender now."
"And why would I do that?"
Kobra spread his arms wide. "You are of no match to me. I am transcendent. It doesn’t matter if you are a genius in the Mystic Arts—magic spells bow down to my power.
