Chapter 434: Second day
Of course, at the very top of the list was the reigning champions of last year’s festival: the Quench company. As part of the Legacies, their dominance in the market was nothing that could be surmounted by others. Their total sales for the first day was 20,316.
And by a very large margin, second place came to the Pyramidic Cuisine. Their food and drinks were bestsellers, with no other food company coming close. Because of that, they were able to get a score of 14,294.
Coming hot on their tail was the Suite Suits, who had just released their new line of expensive silks and exotic fabrics that could only be found months of travel away from Metropolis. Their sales all in all were 12,721
And in fourth place was Spice Vise, who garnered 11,824 sales for the day. A large part of their sales came from other businesses who came to buy ingredients for their own food companies.
These four were the biggest companies in the Upperwood District, but there were 50 other companies that competed in the festival.
Their sales ranged from 10,000 sales to 1,000 sales.
The Association employee looked at the very bottom of the rankings and found the last place. At the 54th place, a barbershop company did 1,232 sales on the first day.
And when he compared that to Reborn’s sales, he was surprised to see that they were able to break through and dethrone the last ranking!
This was unprecedented. This ranking was supposed to be for veterans, for companies that were competing for real in the Metropolis landscape. Meanwhile, the Permit rankings were supposed to be like a kid’s version of the rankings. it didn’t even mean anything. It was just a way to see which company did enough to pass the test.
And yet, a company was able to break through the mold. Even without an established company in Metropolis, armed only with a mobile stall in the middle of a park, the Reborn company was able to compete with the ’big boys’, the veterans.
Even if they’re only in last place, the fact that they were even able to get there was a miracle in and of itself!
