"Wait...Montgomery?"
The soldier nodded. "Yes, that famous Montgomery. One branch of their family is in charge of the association. They make sure to manage all the companies and groups inside Metropolis while keeping a neutral side."
In hindsight, Michael shouldn’t have been surprised. After all, the Montgomerys were famous for being diplomats all over the globe. Their main jobs was to settle all conflicts and preside over any agreements between them. It made sense that only their family could manage such an influential group like the association.
Does Yuna know Claudette?
The answer to that was already answered when he remembered what last said to him before he left.
She seemed very nervous about him coming into the association, probably because she knew that he would eventually cross paths with one of her family members.
If that was the case, then she should have come here, Michael thought. That way, she could help him out, while also having a family reunion at the same time.
Eventually, a carriage came over to the entrance and the soldier boarded inside, guiding Michael to sit beside him.
"I’ll take you directly to the association. Meanwhile, sit tight and have a view of Metropolis," the soldier said.
Michael sat on the carriage, feeling the bumps of the road as the horse trotted along the stone brick roads. This made him miss the Nation of Reborn even more. After all, this carriage was mind-bogglingly slow while giving its passengers the worst traveling experience ever.
He eventually settled down and entertained himself by looking out the window and observing Metropolis up close.
