After finishing their meal, Su Mo and the others were set to leave as anticipated, but were stopped.
They were led to a small cabin of a summer camp, instead of towards the main gate to the road as initially agreed upon, and were told to rest there for another night before leaving.
Unsure of what the other party was scheming, and because they had a civilian with them, it wasn’t appropriate for a direct confrontation, so Lu Chen agreed.
The room was fairly clean, but there was always a faint smell of sewage in the air.
Li Qian scanned the inside and outside of the room, shook his head, and said, "I didn’t find anything unusual."
Su Mo walked into one of the rooms, which had a clean big bed with white sheets, and a small round table next to it that appeared completely normal.
Zhao Changsheng leaned against the door frame, puzzled, and asked, "Were those people just now acting odd, their gazes so vacant?"
Li Qian replied, "You noticed it too, if nothing happens tonight, something will definitely happen tomorrow."
"Let’s not sleep and see what they are up to," Su Mo said, pulling up a clean chair to sit on, her gaze inadvertently swept over the spot on the bed the geologist was about to sit on.
She quickly pulled the person about to sit on the bed up and pushed him towards Jianxiong.
"Ouch!" He was knocked roughly by those solid pectoral muscles; he felt like his old bones were about to fall apart.
"There’s something," Su Mo crouched by the bed, her eyes level with the sheets.
