After that thick wave of awkwardness, Raphael was completely frozen, unable to form even a single response to Leo. Her mouth opened a little, but nothing came out. She just crouched there, cheeks burning red hot like a stove.

He didn’t even glance at her. Instead, he dove into his closet like a man on a mission, grabbed his uniform and underclothes in a flurry, then rushed straight into the bathroom.
The door slammed shut behind him, and the moment cold water hit his head, Leo gasped, as if trying to cool down not just his body, but also the boiling storm inside his brain.
His hands clenched open and shut under the stream, fists squeezing as if trying to grab onto something—anything—to keep his composure.
