Chapter 166: A Punishment Worse Than Expulsion
The first-year students were completely astounded by this turn of events.
They had witnessed a direct challenge to the Academy’s established order a brutal retaliation and now a judgment so severe it was almost unthinkable.
Two of the most powerful and influential upperclassmen in the entire United Academy had just been sentenced to permanent expulsion.
The Principal then turned his gaze back to Adam. "And," he declared his voice ringing with a final irrefutable authority "I hereby rescind the punishment levied against Eric. He is not expelled."
He then looked past Adam. His gaze fell upon Ryan who was still standing nervously with the other members of The New Warriors. "And let me make this perfectly clear to everyone here," the Principal announced his voice now a cold menacing warning directed at every single student in the cafeteria.
"If anyone from any group threatens the family of Ryan or the family of any member of this new group their fight will not be with this boy. Their fight will be with me. And with the Emperor himself. Because I will be reporting this entire incident to the Emperor myself today."
This final threat was a masterstroke. A wave of cold sweat broke out on the faces of the members of the Red Team and especially the members of the Black Team.
The Black Team had been entertaining similar plans of their own. They had been thinking of using their influence back in their home kingdoms to intimidate the families of these upstart commoners who had joined Eric.
The Principal had not only seen through their plans but he had also cut them off at the knees. They could not use that tactic now.
