Chapter 408 - 402 Adding Clock
For several days, Leon had no idea how many watchtowers, outposts, and docks he had destroyed.
Pit Fiends began to appear frequently, and he didn’t know if the Dark Eight Demon Generals were among them. Leon repelled them, time and again, but unless he was willing to reveal his true form as a giant red dragon and bring out his real abilities, it was almost impossible to completely kill those guys.
Zariel, of course, noticed this disturbance.
In fact, she had flipped the table several times, each time trembling with fury when the messenger reported new losses.
With only the Ancient Black Dragon, Ancient Blue Dragon, and other Colorful Dragons involved in the attacks, it was questionable whether Tiamat had any political ideas regarding Aphnas. The appearance of an adult Golden Dragon in Aphnas could imply some action from the Celestial Realm, but the Ancient Jade Dragon should not show up in Aphnas.
The powerful Kraken couldn’t possibly live in the Nether River, and the Giant God Worm and Purple Worm could never appear in Aphnas. How could there be Mariliths and Balors far from the Blood War Battlefield’s transit stations, unless the brainless demons had suddenly learned the behind-enemy-lines special forces tactics?
If demons were that clever, a human wave attack would have drowned Aphnas by now.
Zariel was obsessed with the Blood War, not dim-witted. Even if she had oversight, with so many advisors under her—and probably few devils truly supported this outsider, each entertained by her failures—they’d easily conclude that a Great Druid or Mage proficient in shape-shifting was wreaking havoc in Aphnas.
Obviously, she had to take action personally.
Under these circumstances, Leon encountered Zariel while sabotaging an outpost.
