Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might

Chapter 271 - 267: Where is the Daughter?

Salovis thought their mother had a temper so explosive that it could erupt at the slightest provocation. Coincidentally, Leon shared the same opinion.

Salovis felt that their Mother Dragon might end up getting herself slaughtered someday. Obviously, this was just an emotional outburst; their mother-daughter relationship wasn’t exactly harmonious.

It’s easy to understand why. With that kind of volatile temper, the Mother Dragon still managed to grow up, lay a clutch of eggs, and earn herself the nickname "Lady Molten Throat." She clearly had some skills and strength—though even so, she couldn’t take control of a place like Grey Mountain Town, despite its fierce and resilient populace.

So, what’s her current situation?

The siblings had no clue that she was occupying a deep hall in a Dwarf stronghold, where she was currently meeting with a delegation from the Githyanki.

Ordinarily, it’s rare for a Githyanki delegation to seek out a mature Red Dragon, as mature Red Dragons seldom cooperate with Githyanki. This meeting, however, had been initiated by the Mother Dragon herself.

"Anglistra, I’m truly delighted to receive your invitation. I didn’t expect you’d still remember me." The leader of the Githyanki delegation was a tall Githyanki woman, who had once been Anglistra’s partner.

Anglistra’s narrow, vertical pupils fixed on the Githyanki woman as she slightly parted her jaws, exposing sharp teeth. She said, "Adya, long time no see. Honestly, it’s a relief to find you didn’t die."

"Thanks," Adya replied. "I’m glad too."
