Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might

Chapter 263 - 261: Strength in Numbers

Compared to warriors, Su Ausis leaned more toward spellcasters. Fighting four dragons in a confined space as a spellcaster was absolutely irrational.

So Su Ausis transforming into a sand whirlwind and flying out of the pyramid had nothing to do with cowardice or fear of the four dragons... Judging by their sizes, these dragons were all Adult Dragons—not the disgraceful True Dragon like the White Dragon, nor the substandard Black Dragon. Anyone would have to think twice before confronting them.

The sand whirlwind moved incredibly fast, rivaling the flying speed of a Djinni. In an instant, it flew out of the pyramid and landed on a pillar next to the grand pathway outside... Previously confined to the main burial chamber where visibility was poor, now outside, Su Ausis could clearly see that half of his pyramid had been dismantled by the four dragons.

He wasn’t entirely dead. He still had emotions, his eyes could move, and even his heart could beat—though it didn’t need to. Yet realizing that the pyramid, crafted with meticulous effort and countless resources, had been reduced to half its original glory, almost made him spit out a mouthful of blood... if he still had any left in his body.

As soon as the sand whirlwind exited the pyramid, Leon immediately gave chase, only to spot Su Ausis standing atop the pillar.

Since the enemy was already prepared and he had lost the chance for a first strike, Leon didn’t rush to attack. Instead, he said, "You can’t escape."

"I never intended to run," Su Ausis replied. "You’ve torn apart my pyramid. I won’t let this go."

"You won’t let it go? I won’t let you go either." Leon straightened his posture, standing taller than the pillar.

"What makes you think you have a right to be angry with me?" Su Ausis’s voice sounded agitated. "I didn’t provoke you. You barged into my territory without permission and destroyed my pyramid without saying a word."
