Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might

Chapter 134

Leon only intended to get close to the castle on the mountain peak to take a look, not to do anything bad, especially not burglary. So, he chose to avoid sensitive matters that might alarm the castle owner, opting to approach the castle in human form by foot.

If the owner of the castle was polite, it would merely be a regular visit. If the owner was aloof, practicing a ’strangers not welcome’ policy, he wouldn’t push any further. If the owner had malicious intent, then he would have a reason to make a big fuss.

Transforming into his Dragon Form would involve just a casual flap of his wings, while his human form required quite a bit more effort. But since he wasn’t in any rush, Leon was perfectly unhurried.

"Look, there’s actually a road leading to that castle," said Leon, standing at the foot of the mountain and looking up the path leading to the peak. "Judging by this road, and the visible repairs, I’m certain that the castle belongs to a Cloud Giant. Otherwise, a Silver Dragon could easily fly; there’s no need to build a road."

As Leon thought, a standard Cloud Giant only had a Challenge Level of 9, similar to that of a Fire Giant.

Of course, as Spellcasters, Cloud Giants are unlike Fire Giants who prefer using fire attacks. Since he had Flame Immunity, a Cloud Giant undoubtedly posed a much greater threat to him, and couldn’t be treated like a Fire Giant.

Even so, it wasn’t something he needed to be overly concerned about.

"Human civilians can’t beat anyone, yet human elites can slay dragons. Ordinary Cloud Giants aren’t strong, but among them, elites, even a Demon Lord, can handle them with ease," Cecilia noted, seeing Leon’s relaxed smile, and couldn’t help but remind him.

Leon was unaware, but Cecilia knew everything—like the fact that the castle at the mountain top wasn’t encountered by chance but she had led them there, all thanks to information provided by Lady Tiamat.

According to Lady Tiamat, Red Dragon would meet a formidable enemy in that castle, and eventually turn the situation around with Lady Tiamat’s help, indirectly showing that the enemies within the castle were strong enough to threaten Red Dragon.

Cecilia stared at Leon’s profile.
