Chapter 247: Bonjour, Mr. Hamilton
The woman wrinkled her brows at him, aware that she had never seen him before. "Who are you?" she questioned.
Olive answered, "My name is Olive, and this is, um, my partner, Loui. We are new to the cathedral, so we decided to pay Mr. Hamilton a visit. We brought some gifts as well." He pointed to the boxes of gifts stocked on top of each other.
At the sight of it, the lady’s eyes narrowed in surprise, which did not fail to cross Loui and Olive’s notice.
"Ahem!" She cleared her throat and looked at Olive. "Give me a moment. I will talk to Mr. Hamilton." She shut the door.
Olive looked at Loui, and Loui shook his head, seeming to be having the same thoughts as him. Who doesn’t like riches? Of course, everyone does. They knew that coming there with loads of gifts would give the Hamiltons a good impression. They were still humans, after all.
"Are you sure this will work out?" Loui inquired, a bit nervous.
Olive turned around to glimpse him. "Of course. Why no—" He went quiet the second he saw Loui’s eyes widen. "What’s wrong?"
"Olive, your tattoos! They are showing!" Loui whispered to him. He didn’t want to sound too loud.
Olive scrunched his brows. "My tattoos?"
"Yes!" Loui quickly appeared close to him at the speed of light. He grabbed his shirt and quickly buttoned up the rest of its open buttons.
They quickly took a perfect standstill as soon as the door creaked open. A figure that belonged to none other than Avelina’s mother showed itself, and her hazel eyes moved from Olive to Loui.
