Draven nodded.
"Yes. Is there a problem?"
"No." Valentine shook his head, almost about to cackle. "I am just a bit stunned if that makes sense. I can’t seem to think of anything you could possibly need my help with."
"I do need your help." Draven’s expression was stern.
"If you cannot help, I understand." He turned around to leave, but Valentine quickly hurried out of his room barefoot, grabbing his arm to stop him.
Adam glanced at his pale, bare feet and instantly rushed into the room to grab his shoes.
"Wait, wait, my gosh!" Valentine glared at Draven.
Draven halted and looked at him. "What is it?"
Valentine rubbed his temple, pretty stressed out by his behavior.
"Jesus, relax. I didn’t say that I wasn’t going to help you. I was just surprised, and that is all. Calm down, please."
"Wasn’t I calm? Did I seem distressed?" Draven was genuinely curious.
