A Game Of Chess With A Vampire

Chapter 34: You’re Hurting Me!!

All chandeliers went off, leaving only one light above. This particular light shone down on the ring making Avelina and Natasha visible.

With keen eyesight, Draven immediately glanced at Olive, whose eyes had met his at the same time. He gave him a slight nod, as though permitting him to carry out an action.

Olive responded with a nod.

He diverted his attention to Avelina and Natasha, who began to move in circles, their eyes narrowing into a thin line. He lifted his gloved hand, about to do something, but he stopped the next moment with surprise flashing in his eyes.

Avelina, who was yet to clash with Natasha, had twirled the knives, holding them in a way that only those skilled in them could. This not only surprised Draven, but it surprised the rest of the royal family, including the whole crowd.

Old Master Lenort raised his brows and frowned. He folded his arms and crossed his legs to enjoy the show.

Still walking vigilantly in circles opposite Natasha, whose eyes were filled with deadliness, Avelina’s heart pounded with a mixture of trepidation and determination fueling her every move.

"You’re scared, aren’t you?" Natasha taunted, her gray eyes burning with an insatiable thirst and a predatory hunger to kill.

Her raven hair cascaded like a waterfall down her back, complimenting the long floral gown that she wore. Her porcelain skin shimmered under the glow of the light above, and her sharp fangs glistened as she bared them in a feral snarl, emitting an aura of power that sent shivers down Avelina’s spine.

Avelina did not respond. She steadied herself and gripped the hilt of her dual silver knives. Her defense skills had prepared her a bit for this.

The clash between a human and a supernatural being was about to begin!
