Shen Lu got home to find the lights in the house blazing; Father Shen and Mother Shen were sitting on the couch watching a television drama.

Mother Shen was wiping away tears, looking toward the entryway at her, "You’re back?"

Shen Lu was startled, "Seeing me, you seem rather upset."

Mother Shen pointed at the heroine on the screen, "This poor leading lady, she truly is too tragic, clearly so in love with the male lead, yet in the end, they still have to part. I really want to send the director razor blades, it’s so infuriating. Look how miserable the heroine is, leaving the male lead and even having his child, it’s simply a sin!"

Shen Lu looked over, "Then why did they split up?"

"It’s all because of some melodramatic misunderstandings!"

"And what happened to the male lead in the end?"

Mother Shen huffed angrily, "The male lead didn’t even know the heroine had his child. Later, he married someone else and had both a son and a daughter! I tell you, this male lead never truly loved the leading lady."

Father Shen teased her, "It’s just a TV show, why get so worked up? This is life, isn’t it realistic? Who can really wait for someone their whole life!"

Mother Shen, annoyed, hit him, "Look at us women, so faithful, but you men, you really are lower beings who can’t control your lower half!"
