"Let me hold him," Qi’s mother said.
Ji Yunhuan did not refuse.
She handed the baby to Qi’s mother.
Qi’s mother sat down with the baby and played with him. Because he was full and content, Ruirui didn’t cry or fuss.
After dinner, a few adults competed to hold the baby downstairs, while Ji Yunhuan helped Qi Cheng wash his hair in the room.
She gently scratched his scalp. "Does this pressure feel right?"
"Mhm." Ji Yunhuan lowered her head and noticed that Qi Cheng did not seem as resistant to her today as he did the day before. She smiled and said, "Ever since Ruirui came back, you haven’t been angry anymore!"
Yesterday, he ignored everything she said. Even when he occasionally spoke, there was no trace of kindness in his words.
Qi Cheng glanced at her after hearing her words. His attitude had changed not because of his son but because of what Bai Liyan had said. He feared that if he treated Ji Yunhuan poorly, Bai Liyan might take her away.
"Grandpa said he won’t stop us from being together anymore." Qi Cheng suddenly said.
