Chapter 51: Sirae and Inshi
Inshi finally reacted. She grabbed the weapon hidden in her clothes and pointed it at them. "How did you get in?! Stay back! Don’t move!"
Cail looked at what was in her hand. It was a wand. Cail’s glasses assessed the artifact’s level, and it was just D. With Cail’s null, although he might feel a bit fuzzy, a D-level artifact that doesn’t deal physical damage is considered safe.
For example, if someone were to bring an axe that can produce lightning-type void energy, the lightning wouldn’t harm Cail, but if the axe was smashed into him, that would be a problem.
Seeing that Cail didn’t flinch, Inshi panicked, thinking that she might have encountered some kind of Plunderer. Plunderers are a type of void user that kill other void users inside the rift to steal their belongings. "Plunderer" is just a fancy word for robber.
Cail raised his hand. "I don’t mean any harm." Then he made an OK sign with his fingers."I’m just here to sell. If you’re not interested, then bye-bye."
He made an action as if he were going to pull the child away, but before doing that, he mocked Inshi a bit.
"You being like that, based on what I heard, you are supposed to be someone amazing."
Then he made an exaggerated action of looking her up and down before shaking his head as if he wasn’t satisfied with her choices. "Tsk... How pathetic."
Inshi’s face twitched in anger. She knew that she was probably being taunted, but she was now at the lowest point of her life.
