Psychic Overlord

Chapter 17: Intense Combat

Kaizer no longer had the patience to wait. He had gleaned enough information for now and would work on acquiring more later, but he did not have the time to relaxedly play the role of a scared young master anymore.

A sharp light shone in his eyes while a blue outline formed around his arms, which held the bars. To the shock of the men who thought they had him under control, Kaizer easily bent the bars open and darted out from within, using Telekinesis on his body to accelerate himself.

He appeared before Lyle faster than the man himself could sufficiently react, throwing a punch towards his lower jaw, aiming to dislocate it. Lyle tried to bring his hands together to block, but screamed when both his forearms were bent like broken twigs, the weakened punch striking his jaw nonetheless.

The uppercut sent him flying in the air with blood spurting from his mouth and nose, the man himself crashing into a heap of boxes near the back of the warehouse, unable to get up anymore. Leo and Barnes were stunned by the sudden change, but reacted quite quickly as Kaizer turned to rush towards the pudgy man.

Kaizer remembered that this man possessed the ability to teleport, so he focused on accelerating by 'throwing' himself forward with his maximum psychic strength, almost seeming like a blur as his body's natural momentum coupled with the boost from telekinesis melded together to create a miracle.

Before he could move away, strike him hard!

Kaizer thought so and condensed his momentum into his right fist as he thrust it out, not backing it with psychic force as he rather focused on 'catching' himself and preventing his body from losing control due to the sudden acceleration. After all, this superior physical ability was not genuine, but created by clever use of telekinesis he saw in one of the psychic-focused shows he watched.

The punch whistled through the air and aimed for the face of the man before him, not bothering to target his torso as his paunch might be able to offset a portion of the force.

Barnes seemed shocked and fearful, raising his arms to protect his face in desperation. However, when Kaizer's fist connected with his flesh, the sound of broken bones didn't ensue, rather making a dull sound like he had punched the bark of a tree.
