The carriages rumbled to a stop in front of the grand Gurman estate, where rows of lavishly decorated carriages already lined the entrance. Nobles, wealthy merchants, and guards in gleaming armor filled the courtyard, chatting, laughing, or showcasing their importance.
Hazuki yawned.
"We’re here, I guess," he muttered.
But the kids—
They erupted with excitement the moment the gates swung open.
"Whoa!!"
"It’s HUGE!!" one of the boys shouted, eyes wide.
"Look at the courtyard! So many flowers!"
"That fountain! There are like, five of them!!" another girl pointed, glowing with joy.
"Knight statues! Tall ones! With spears!"
"And the horses! Real noble horses!"
