When Hazuki and Elvia arrived at the orphanage, the morning sun had already brightened the yard.
The door creaked open as they stepped in.
"Elvia!!" a voice called out.
Chasia ran toward her, eyes wide with relief but stopped short the moment she saw the black-haired man beside her.
Hazuki stood there, relaxed as always, his hands in his pockets and an unreadable look on his face.
"Umm... m-morning..." Chasia mumbled, glancing up at him.
"...Oh," Hazuki said flatly. "Morning."
Then he looked down at Elvia, who was still holding his hand until just a moment ago.
"Oi, little elf. Go wash up and change. Your dress is filthy."
"Umm... okay," Elvia nodded obediently.
Hazuki turned and casually walked away, heading toward the town.
