Luna lifted her head slightly. "What do you require of us, Your Majesty?"
King Aswand leaned forward on his throne, his gaze firm. "I am entrusting you with a mission. You are to meet with the Beastkin King and ensure this official letter is delivered directly into his hands."
Luna hesitated for a moment before asking, "May I inquire about the contents of the letter, Your Majesty?"
King Aswand’s gaze sharpened as he held up a sealed letter. "This message contains an important diplomatic proposal. You are to ensure it is placed directly in the hands of the Beastkin King."
"It is a formal request to strengthen the alliance between our kingdoms. Given the recent tensions, I believe it is time for both nations to secure a lasting bond—one that will benefit both sides."
His words sounded reasonable, but there was a weight behind them. Luna couldn’t shake the feeling that this was more than just an alliance request.
