Chapter 75: Forbidden Words
She hadn’t given him a proper wedding kiss, so she thought to herself, ’Why don’t we just have our second wedding night instead?’
Their first wedding night had been a disaster, Edmund had run away from her chamber, leaving her alone with a desire that didn’t go away, even after she tried to pleasure herself for hours.
Maybe this time, they could turn that awful memory into something worth remembering.
"Husband?" Primrose blinked up at him, locking eyes with Edmund. He had gone quiet for a while, and even his inner thoughts were as silent as the night. "Why aren’t you saying anyth—"
Before she could finish, Edmund suddenly got up from the bed.
’Don’t tell me he’s running away again! Why now?!’
But instead of heading for the door, Edmund pulled the blanket aside and reached beneath the bed. He took out a folded piece of fine leather mat and without saying a word, carefully spread it across the bed.
Then he turned to her with a straight face. "The bed is ready, wife."
[This way, my wife won’t have to worry about dirtying the bed anymore!] He thought proudly.
Primrose was stunned. She sat at the edge of the bed, blinking in surprise. She hadn’t expected him to pull a move like that.
"This ... this is good," she said with a nervous laugh, patting the leather mat a few times to check if the material was actually waterproof. "You came prepared."
