However, she had no idea if the noble ladies of the Beast Kingdom shared the same tastes. For all she knew, they might have completely different customs, or maybe they drank tea with raw meat on the side instead of pastries.

Still, it wasn’t like she had ever been invited to a tea party here before.
Primrose ate the cake just like she always did during snack time, but maybe it was because Edmund had instructed the maids to prepare everything based on human customs—tea, delicate pastries, and all the usual refined treats.
As she was lost in thought, Solene clapped her hands again. "Would you like me to help with that as well, Your Majesty? I could have the royal chef prepare a sample menu for you to try!"
"That would be wonderful," she said with a smile.
"Excellent!" Solene said, "I’ll take care of it right away!"
She gave a quick curtsy before hurrying off with the energy of a woman on a holy mission. The second the door shut behind her, Primrose dropped her elegant posture and let out an exhausted sigh.
This was too much.
Who knew planning a simple tea party would feel like preparing for war?
