Chapter 221: The Hunt for Power Holders
Chapter: The Hunt for Power Holders
Adam sat cross-legged on the floor, his friends Leo and Susan still in front of him, their faces a mix of awe and concern. Adam’s revelation about encountering the very entity the Oracle had predicted left them visibly shaken.
"So you’ve already met him?" Leo’s voice broke the silence, laced with disbelief. "The one the Oracle warned about?"
Adam gave a slow, deliberate nod, confirming their worst fears. Seeing his affirmation, both of them exchanged a look of quiet astonishment. They were beginning to grasp the gravity of what Adam was dealing with, and a wave of respect washed over them.
Leo lowered his gaze, his voice heavy with guilt and admiration. "Adam, my friend... I had no idea you were fighting such battles, and all on your own."
Leo had no idea how much responsibility Adam was taking on and that he was fighting alone without anyone’s help.
Adam gave a small, reassuring smile, his tone light yet firm. "Oh no, don’t worry. I’m not alone. I have many allies by my side."
Hearing this, both Leo and Susan remembered Adam’s unique ability to create new creatures to aid him. The thought brought them a sense of calm, though the enormity of his struggle still loomed large in their minds.
Breaking the moment, Adam straightened his posture and spoke with renewed urgency. "Alright, Leo and Susan, I think it’s time for you to leave now. I have other matters to attend to."
Leo and Susan exchanged a glance, nodded in agreement, and stood up. "Take care of yourself, Adam," Leo said, offering a parting wave.
"Be careful," Susan added softly before they both headed downstairs to bid farewell to Adam’s mother.
