Chapter 156: Emergence of True Power
As the massive explosion subsided, an eerie silence filled the hall. The once-imposing Hall was now a ruined wasteland. Every surface was scorched, every object obliterated.
The metallic walls, sturdy windows, and towering chair—all lay in shambles. A thick, acrid smoke hung in the air, carrying the stench of burned metal and ash.
Beneath the destruction, the faint remnants of human life—scientists in red uniforms and soldiers—were now indistinguishable from the debris, consumed entirely by the blast.
Standing a short distance away from the explosion’s epicenter, Ani remained unharmed, encased in a protective cocoon of shimmering, white tiles.
These tiles had been meticulously take by Adam moments before the blast, shielding her, Pratham, and Mikasa from harm.
Even so, Ani could feel the violent tremors ripple through her enclosure. The pressure was immense, and the cracks forming in the tiles betrayed the sheer force of the explosion.
Inside, Ani clutched her knees, her breathing shallow. Though unharmed, she could sense the devastation surrounding her. She whispered to herself, steadying her nerves, "Adam... where are you?"
The hall outside was in total disarray. Flames flickered across the remains of the once-sterile hall, casting eerie shadows against the walls.
Broken glass crunched under the weight of falling debris, and the few remaining structures groaned ominously as if on the brink of collapse.

The moments before the blast replayed in Adam’s mind. He had anticipated an impact but not of this magnitude.
