"Fire!" UV1’s voice thundered again, sharper and more commanding this time.
He clutched his wounded side, the jagged fragments of tiles embedded in his flesh, staining his clothes with blood.
Gritting his teeth, he forced himself upright, his amber eyes glowing with an unnatural intensity.
The soldiers, steeling themselves, released deep breaths and leveled their weapons at Adam.
Without further hesitation, they unleashed a barrage of laser beams. Bright streams of light tore through the air, their deadly hum echoing off the walls as they raced toward Adam.
