Adam silently followed the girl from a distance. His black outfit, the dark mask concealing most of his face, and his quiet, deliberate movements made him an enigmatic presence.
His companion, Sona, hovered invisibly above, keeping a watchful eye on their target.
The girl’s hurried pace and frequent glances over her shoulder only added to her air of suspicion.
"She’s entering the park now," Sona informed Adam, her voice calm but firm.
Adam nodded and quickened his pace. The streets were dimly lit, and the park ahead seemed almost desolate.
"Sona, scan the area. How many people are nearby?" he asked, his voice a low whisper that carried an edge of authority.
"Not many," Sona replied after a brief pause. "The park is almost empty."
Hearing this, Adam adjusted his trajectory and stepped off the road, entering the park. A cool breeze rustled the leaves as he walked deeper into its quiet expanse.
A short distance ahead, the girl came to a stop in an isolated area, pulling out a wad of cash and counting it hurriedly.
Sona hovered above her, watching her movements closely.
