Chapter 146: Your eyes are bleeding
Ash looked at Violet in utter horror.
"Violet, you’re crying blood..." his voice trembled with concern and worry.
Everything was going wrong. His daughter had been kidnapped, his gentle queen became a raging, bloodthirsty, lunatic capable of slaughtering an entire town, and now she’s crying blood.
Ash’s life had turned upside down in under 8hrs.
His heart ached for his missing daughter and broken wife.
"We’ll talk with Arya about the tears. Until then let’s keep this between us."
Ash pulled Violet in hugging her with fierce protectiveness, the hot shower beat down on them, tears leaving blood-streaked stains on her cheeks. The color orange was washing down the drain. Ash held her head against his hot chest, rubbing Violet’s head tenderly. They stood together in a deep saddening silence, while Violet’s shoulders shuddered and she just sobbed into him.
He wished he could carry the weight of her pain with his, it broke him that he couldn’t carry this burden for her.
"Shhh, it’s okay baby, we’ll find her, and we’ll punish the ones responsible. On my life, we will find her, and we will get our revenge."
She didn’t say a word she just cried into his chest. The sound of his heart grounded her, the feel of his skin, kept tethered to the moment.
She was sinking into a pit of despair, and he was the only thing keeping her here. Keeping the darkness filling her heart at bay.
