Chapter 135: You should tell her sooner

Odette felt better when Delilah came to see her. She’d been so distraught and down, Delilah’s carefree attitude and shameless monologues were a heavenly refresher for her.
Delilah felt immense guilt for not being around when Odette went through that. She was alone when the girls gave her that gift. Delilah knew how social events made Odette anxious, but still she wasn’t there, nothing could excuse that. Delilah got caught up flirting and that’s why she wasn’t there when it counted.
Odette never asked where she was. She never expected the people around to bend to her will and be at her beck and call. But if last night taught her anything. She is the only person she can count on. She would never let herself down.
She would never let her guard down again. She would train harder; she wouldn’t need her father or anyone to save her. She would be her own savior. Her own best friend. Whatever she needed, she would become it.
Never again will someone humiliate her and hurt her like that again.
From that moment on Odette built a wall around her heart.
She looked at her two best friends. Warmth and love filled her, they could have keys to the one door to her heart.
She could spend the rest of her life with the two of them.
She remembered Kalvin’s confession and wonder if it meant they were a couple now.
