Chapter 81: Things aren’t adding up
After the party things between Jeremy and Rosa would never be the same. School was definitely the testament to the lack of status in their relationship. Jeremy was unsure how to act around Rosa and what this meant for things with Violet. Rosa awkwardly avoided Jeremy at first. Embarrassed for giving in and begging for Jeremy’s touch.
Rosa felt a buzz go off in her pocket, pulling out her phone she sees a message from Violet.
Violet: Ursula’s absent from school today.
Rosa: Okay, is that odd?
Violet: Yes, she’s never been absent. I wanted to ask her about why she left early from the party and why her fiancé was at my party last night.
Rosa: I guess that’s weird. You text her?
Violet: Yes, no reply. Do you think she could have gotten in trouble for coming to my party?
Rosa: No, I don’t think so, the Beta came with a gift for your birthday when he collected her.
Violet: Ash says something isn’t right. The other’s agree something isn’t right and now I can’t help but be scare for Ursula.
Rosa also thought it was suspicious that the wolves, with such a fragile alliance, stepping on to the vampire turf unannounced and uninvited was a risky more. Why make such a risky move? There had to be more to it than just delivering a present, for the sake of appearances. Shifters weren’t one for facades like this. So why? It was a rather puzzling question.
Rosa: Well maybe, since they can come here announced we can go there. Two can play at this game. Don’t worry Violet, we’ll get to the bottom of this.
