Chapter 76: perfect
After the beta shifter departed, the party lightened up a bit, people relaxed. But the brothers, Vlad, and Lilith were all on edge. The thick tension in the air could be cut with a knife. They knew nothing good would come of this, and knew a meeting would happen after the party was over.
The shifters never cared about their parties before, but the one involving their future queen, that didn’t set well with them.
Violet noticed the change in demeanor; however, she tried to let it go. She tried focusing on her guests and party and the new kitten that’s now hiding in her room. But she couldn’t. they were projecting their worries and concerns outwards, and she couldn’t shake their suspicions.
And then there was Ursula and her friend. What was her name? Violet doesn’t remember catching it.
She’d have school tomorrow and would ask Ursula then. Tomorrow was sure to be a big day. Tomorrow after school she’ll see the priestess again to find out if she conceived.
Hopefully she would soon find this to be over. She could just settle down with her baby and maybe find some peace? Or happiness?
It was nearly dawn when the last of the party goers left. Violet was exhausted, she was ready to curl up with her kitten and find sleep.
She heads to her room and gets in the shower. The steam building in the room helped relax her tense body. Tonight, had been a very interesting night. Between Riley being punished and getting such an unexpected visitor, it was enough excitement to last her a year.
After the shower Violet curled up in her bed with her new Kitten Midna and quickly found sleep. Only to be awoken by the sound of her door shutting.
