Chapter 52: another school day another fight
Ash walked back to the dining room fuming. His anger radiated off him bringing a murderous aura. Everyone in the room quieted, no one wanted to trigger Ash. When he was like this he was unpredictable and dangerous. Walking on eggshells was necessary to survive in times like these.
No one spoke the rest of breakfast until Gabriel was departing. "Remember Violet’s birthday is this coming weekend, I hope you guys have been preparing?"
"Yes, I’ve been handling the details with your secretary and the planner." Jeremy answered.
"I’d totally forgot, with the concerto last night!" Violet yelled her mouth left gaping open. Quickly converting it she says "Oh, shoot, I haven’t even texted my friends."
"What have you done?" Ash asked skeptical of any progress.
"I’ve invited my classmates. Umm... I’ve thought about food and um... my cake flavor." Violet paused "Oh! And my theme!"
"Okay, and what’s the theme?" Ash grumbled groping impatient.
"Valentines!" Violet clapped her hands excitedly. Her smile was wide stretching all the way to her ears. The epitome of purity.
"Why?" Oliver asked he was very curious. "Like a bunch of Cupid shit?"
"No. It’s an important day for two reasons. A man who died a martyr and it’s one of the bloodiest gang wars in history in America. A mass shooting." Violet’s smile became very devious "It’s a very bloody day." Violet kept her smile but tapped her fingers tip together in, one finger at a time. She looked menacing and full of trouble.
"Actually. Knowing you now. That makes 100% sense," Ash said.
