Chapter 44: something in the way you move
After finishing, they both laid in bed breathless.
"I’m sorry I made you feel like I would pick a wolf over you. I wouldn’t ever. I can’t express how important you are to me, how important all of you are." Violet said rolling over to look at Jeremy’s face who was laying down next to.
Jeremy turns his head and says "except Riley, I think you forgot him." He chuckled a little.
"You’re right I did forget to exclude him" Violet chuckled with him. "In all seriousness, think about it Jeremy, what if I held you to the same standard over what Riley has done to me, because you are not only associated but also directly related to the man who haunts my nightmares." Violet paused seeing the look on Jeremy’s face when what she said sank in. "It’s not fair is it? To punish you for what someone else has done? Should you do the same to her?"
Jeremy was struggling to wrap his mid around her words. Violet was right, but why did it still make him so uneasy to think about? To possibly be that wolves friend. The word friend was already such a foreign word for him but to add a wolf as apart of the sentence was just such an unbelievable concept. A pure blood being
friends with a wolf. His circle was getting bigger and more diverse. A half vampire, a witch? A wolf? What was going on?
"You’re not wrong, Violet, I know, but I still can’t help not liking her. But I admit it’s not fair. She barely and only recently without a choice is apart of the wolf pack. Maybe it would be different if she wasn’t apart of that pick, I could stomach being friends with a wolf." Jeremy said.
Violet was very invested in Jeremy’s words, it’s the most he’s ever opened up to her really, specifically about his feelings.
"I feel it’s disrespectful to my mother’s memory to be friends with anyone associated with the wold pack." Jeremy finished.
"Well, does that include me now, since I’m affiliated with that pack through Ursula?" Violet asked.
Jeremy hadn’t thought of that. "Is it the same though?"
