Chapter 38: More please more
Oliver sat with Violet stroking her hair while she slept. Wishing she could be his. She brought him so much happiness, he didn’t even know this feeling was real. It almost felt human. Had his father felt this way about his mother before she died? Or any of his wives?
Oliver lived with Gabriel after his mother passed away. and he couldn’t remember much about his aunties relationship. His father came home only a couple times a month. Most of his memories consisted of him and Gabriel. They used to be close. Their mother’s were close too.
But after Jeremy’s and Riley’s mother’s death; something changed and it divided all of the
brothers causing a wall to be built between them.
Ash and Jeremy returned with Ash’s arm bandaged up. He sit’s down on the bed next
to Oliver and Violet. Taking her hold of her hands.
"I’m sorry I wasn’t here to stop him. I’m sorry I didn’t protect you." Ash had never sounded so apologetic, Oliver and Jeremy were stunned.
Violet open’s her eyes and sits and puts her hand on Ash’s face. "It’s not your fault, Riley is vile and grotesque. It’s his fault, not yours."
Violet looked at Jeremy and Oliver and Ash again and smiles and says "Thanks for
always taking care of me and being by my side. I’m so happy to have met you all."
The three of them just starred at her in awe of how someone could still be so happy even after everything she just went through.
