The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers

Chapter 34: the full moon ceremony

Tonight was the full moon ceremony again. She’s been here now two months. It already felt like a life time. But her life had improved drastically since her first month. She was best friends with Oliver and Rosa. She fell in love with Ash despite the problems that will cause later, especially if she doesn’t mate with him. She’s can’t imagine what he’d do if she ended up with Riley. Ash would kill him and then be excited himself, she’d have to raise Riley baby by herself and then have to go through this all over again. She’d have to start over with the brothers, more full moon ceremony’s. Anyway she looked at it, the short end of the stick was hers.

She signed realizing this made her even more anxious about tonight and what it could mean for her. For Ash. For all the brothers. This time of month was so stressful. She could count on no one touching her until the ceremony tonight. She saw Ash asleep next to her in the bed. Had to be about 4:00 pm. She crawls out of his bed and leaves for her room, she was going to change and grab a book and read in Jeremy’s garden. She was safe outside during the day. It was the only time she knew she’d be safe from Riley and could be undisturbed. Violet started spending her early evenings outside before school because it was too early for Riley to be up unless he had work, and he didn’t pay much attention Violet, on the nights he worked.

She heads straight to the bathroom to do her regular routine before picking out her clothes. It was early fall, and having a phone she checked the weather. That was just so exciting for her. Having a phone for the first time, it was still so foreign having a cell phone.

It would be breezy and sunny today, a good day for reading outside! Violet was excited. She picks out a pair of plain baby pink leggings and a plain white long sleeve crop top, with a hood on the back. She grabbed a pair of warm fuzzy socks and her brown teddy bear faced slippers. She decides to take a blanket with her, just in case its cooler than expected. She was smaller framed and so she would get cold easily if she’s just standing still.

The library never ceased to amaze her, books from the floor to the ceiling. There had to be thousands of books in this room. Violet picks out a book on stars and their different myths. She really enjoyed reading things like that. Today was going to be great. Violet heads to the kitchen before leaving out the back door, and asks a servant "Would you mind making me some how chocolate and bringing it out the garden. I’ll be by the cherry blossom tree."

"Certainly madam." He bows and begins preparing the drink.

"Thank you Mr. Vootreg" Violet said grateful to having such pleasant staff.

"Here take a blanket with you to lay on." Maid servant Kim said running up to Violet and Mr. Vootreg handing Violet a picnic blanket to lay on.

"Thank you Kim, I would have completely forgotten, if had it not been for you." Violet answered her with a gracious smile.

There was the butler named Eugene, two maid servants, Kim and Erika, our head housekeeper, Mrs. Grace, and the head chef, Mrs. Chara. Violet knew all the names of the staff members. She’d grown quite fond of the different staff members, and them her as well. They’ve never had a madam treat them so well. It was a nice change of pace for them.

After Violet left the kitchen she headed to Jeremy’s garden. There was a spot near the cherry blossom trees by the lake where Violet could stretch out and read. She propped her head on to her fists and opened up the book and read until it was almost sunset and Ash came out disrupting her peaceful reading.
