Chapter 29: humiliation
The next morning, they wake in the exact same position they fell asleep in. Ash smiled and dragged his fingers lightly across her arm. The gentleness in his cold touch gave her goosebumps.
"It’s time to wake up, we have to get ready for school, the sun has set." Ash whispered in her ear.
"Can we just lay here for 5 more minutes please?" Violet begged.
"Only because I want too." Ash answered.
Snuggled up they lay together in bed, soaking in each others touch and comfort. She felt so safe in his arms. After a few minutes they move from the bed and get ready for school, putting on their uniforms. She liked them much more than her old schools. Her jacket was a cream color with a gold trim, it had the schools crest embroidered on the front right side. I hade a white shirt with a black tie and cream-colored pleated skirt with a black stripe that wrapped around it near the hem. It was similar to the boy’s attire.
They pile in the limo and depart for school. Oliver, Ash and Violet all play games on their phones and Jeremy zones out listening to music for the drive to school. Violet was way to excited to show Rosa her new phone she could barely contain herself in the limo. Finally arriving at the school Violet rushes the brothers to hurry so she can meet Rosa by her locker before class starts. Weaving through the halls at a fast pace she quickly arrives at Rosa’s locker and patiently awaiting her friend’s arrival to campus.
Upon spotting Rosa, she dashes over to her jumping right in front of her starting Rosa, so she drops her books.
Clutching her chest panting some "Shit Violet, you gave me a heart attack."
Laughing off the fact she dropped all her stuff in front of the Vampire princes, for all she knew they were thinking about stupid and clumsy she looked.
"Sorry! I meant to scare you, but I didn’t mean to scare you that badly" Violet giggled excitedly, "But Guess What!"
"What?"
