The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers

Chapter 25: you think you can walk out here like that?

The next few nights at school were pretty ordinary. School was slowly becoming a haven for her. The bond between the 3 brothers strengthening with Violet and themselves. Oliver was much more like a friend. Jeremy still kept his distance, but he smiled a little more and engaged a little more in conversation. Ash seemed to even be a bit less aggressive with his brothers however he was more aggressive with strangers.

On her first day back, Ash came and checked on her after every period he was becoming increasingly protective over her. It felt really good to have him care so much. She really started to have feelings for Ash, which scared her because what if he wasn’t the one she would be mated with.

Violet was doing well adjusting to her classes. Her teachers liked her, they thought she was cute, quiet and gentle. They appreciated her reserved behavior, they thought she seemed well groomed. There were a few witches who were showing more interest in her, not enough to talk to Violet. But it was progress. She still only had the one friend Rosa. Which was enough for her really.

The wolf females were relatively uninterested. She did her best to ignore the rude remarks about her being a slut and a whore for sleeping with so many men from most of the trueblood and higher born vampires, especially the jealous female vampires. It hurt to hear her situation stated like that; they didn’t understand how exhausting it was to constantly be the object of sexual desire from every man in your house. Violet had long accepted her fate and knew that it didn’t matter if what they said was true or not, she would still be subjected to their needs and desires any time they wanted. So let them talk. She would eventually have a higher status and they’d never be able to say anything bad about her again. It wasn’t fair they hated Violet for things she couldn’t control. Violet wished she could share them and not have to service so many men. So few days she had where she went untouched by their hands. Now that her body was accustomed to

having her blood drank, it was a constant rotation.

Tonight was the night they’d find out if she was pregnant, the priestess would come

back and preform a ceremony with all of us. "If I’m pregnant, I’ll be mated, if I’m mated, I won’t have to be shared by the brothers anymore. I’ll have the freedom to leave the house to see my friends and family. I won’t be so alone." She said to herself. She’d also have a baby to love and care for. Things would just be better she thought.

Rosa sat with Violet tonight, even the brothers. They had gotten used to the idea of having such company present, but they still didn’t like. Jeremy snubbed her, but he wasn’t unnecessarily rude to her, so that was nice.

But they were happy to see this smile on her face. It was a different smile; it didn’t have a single hint of loneliness. She looked like for the first time she was having a truly relaxed moment, she really deserved this little bit of sanctuary. Sitting at this lunch table was the happiest she’d been since she came to live with the brothers.

"I’m Oliver and thats Ash and Jeremy. Jeremy is a bit prejudice so don’t mind him; he’ll get over himself."

Oliver was the friendliest of all the brothers, he was the most social in their classes. You can always expect a good laugh, though sometimes it would be at others expense. He gave off this aura of a big brother. The girls fawn all over him, and he used to be a major flirt, but since Violet came into the picture, she became the sole object of his attention. Which is, again, one of the things that upset the other female vampires.
