Chapter 100: Between Them
Moments later, Renar suddenly turned around and slid his arm beneath Lethia’s head like a pillow as he pulled her into his embrace.
The closeness of their faces made Lethia gasp and hold her breath.
She tried to pull away, but Renar only held her tighter, until her face was buried in the crook of his neck.
"Just like this... Let’s stay just like this. I think I can get better just like this," Renar whimpered.
Lethia couldn’t say no. She just couldn’t.
Because when she felt his body, it wasn’t as burning hot as earlier when she first checked his fever.
She wondered if Renar really ended up like this because of his fox bead.
She shut her eyes and let herself sink into his warmth.
"What the hell are you two doing in this broad daylight?"
A man’s angry voice cut through the air, making both Lethia and Renar turn their heads to find Caelum glaring at them with fiery eyes.
Lethia moved, about to get up, only for Renar’s arm to stop her, holding her in place like he didn’t give a damn about Caelum’s furious stare.
