Chapter 16: She-Wolfless
Lethia stiffened. 'What the hell was that?' She wanted to kick Lana, sure—but she was certain that the kick voice hadn't come from her own mind.
Confusion still clouded her mind as her hand moved on its own, trembling as it clenched and unclenched. The same damn feeling. Just like before—when she lost control during that kiss.
Then, Lethia's gaze darkened. Her pupils dilated, swallowing the light, as if something had snatched her awareness away.
Before she could even question it, her body moved. Lethia snatched the flower vase from the cabinet near the window and hurled it at the CCTV camera in the ceiling's corner.
CRASHH!
The sharp shatter echoed through the room—Lana's startled scream followed a second later.
"What ARE you DOING?! Are you crazy?!" Lana shrieked, hands flying to her head as if she'd been the target.
Lethia smirked. "Kneel, you said?"
Smack!
Her foot shot out—slamming into Lana's bad knee with pinpoint accuracy.
"Aarrgghh..." The scream that tore from Lana's throat was deafening. She collapsed, her injured knee giving out instantly.
