Chapter 1244 - 751: Rising Up (Part 3)
Of course, she couldn’t possibly be Nameless’s little wife; it’s just that Nameless occasionally comes here for a drink, and he always gives this succubus bartender due respect, never once has he slaughtered any fool blind enough to pick a fight in this tavern. So anyone who frequents this place knows this, and calls her such, but anyone who truly believes it must be the biggest fool in Mark City and the Ninefold Prison.
Using her to threaten Nameless, Ails might as well believe Nameless would slaughter that fool and this succubus together.
"Damn it, don’t mention that damn name, especially you fools running errands for that gentleman, how many people do you want to honestly suspect my involvement with that gentleman? For heaven’s sake, use your nonexistent brains and think it over, how could I possibly be?"
· Yeah, right, you won’t survive till that gentleman’s pleasure is over.
Ails’s old adversary sat beside him.
· Ails, my old friend, I never expected you’d be groveling to this one someday. Come on, tell us, so we can all enjoy the fun.
· Reckless fool.
Ails shook his head.
· Since you’re all so invested in this, alright, my question today is: how can a deity truly sever the connection between Subspace and a universe?
These reckless fellows laughed uproariously, but Ails noticed that both his old friend and the demon behind the bar froze their expressions simultaneously.
The former finally shook his head, responding to Malin with an unusually serious tone, entirely different from his usual jocular manner: "That’s impossible; as far as I know, no one has ever broken free from Subspace’s intrusion."
Yet among those unreckless fellows, one or two with a bit of brain tissue realized what’s going on ahead of time — Ails was working for a deity.
