Once things on the Awakener’s side were on track, Malin finally had some free time, so after informing the Sages, Jason, and Sostak No.3, Malin opened a gate and returned to the Semi-Plane.
The first one Malin saw was the Big-eared Fox, who now had five tails. When he saw her, she was running in the field with her child, completely unlike the Knight maiden she used to be. Matilda, of the Paladin noble lineage, had turned into a wild fox.
And upon seeing Malin standing on the dirt road, this fox picked up her child and quickly ran over.
Malin took the child, giving a warning look to the little fellow not to bite indiscriminately, then held Matilda’s hand and returned to the small cabin.
Along the way, Matilda asked many stories about Thainan, and Malin recounted everything in detail, including the story of the old dean.
Upon hearing about such a Wraith of True Lord level being able to enlighten both wraiths and humans, granting wisdom to the former and growth to the latter, Matilda couldn’t help but feel a bit wistful.
"I also want to see it, but someone always needs to stay here." Matilda sighed in this way.
"No problem, we can have everyone come over and see it, it’s just that coordination is needed on Nova’s end. She and the child can play in Thainan for up to a week, but any longer and the nobility would start feeling unhappy." Malin understood this point—as now the two factions of nobles in Farole have long accepted their fate; with Malin, this great mountain, here, it’s sensible to stay obedient for their own lives, let alone now that the Queen has given birth to a Prince, even the most stubborn nobles are not dissatisfied with Malin anymore.
After all, Malin kept his promise, letting the child take Nova’s last name. With Malin’s legendary status and current power, having the child follow his surname would be something the united nobles couldn’t influence anyway, not to mention quite a few nobles in Farole are wholeheartedly following Malin.
